Where Silence Stays was recorded during a power cut. With the equipment dark, our singers kept going acoustically — and the take that survived is mostly space.
A bowed vibraphone, slowed harbor bells and voices placed far from the microphone build a piece that rewards stillness. It is used to open our meditation-for-singers workshops, and several listeners tell us it is the song they play when the world gets loud.
No drums. No bass. Just air, intention, and the sound of a room full of people listening to each other.
